I am a retired Project Manager ( Commercial and Residential Building) with 50 years experience in the Industry. I have no hesitation in providing this positive review and reference for CGR roofing. The hail storm in Newcastle NSW ,in May last year severely damaged the Family home in Merewether , requiring complete replacement of the existing Colorbond roof sheeting to both the Main House as well as the seperate cottage , which my wife and I have operated as a Bed and Breakfast retirement business for over twelve years.Like many other home owners we experienced some difficulty in securing the services of a competent and available Contractor to carry out the work. We had the added difficulty of coordinating the works with our ongoing bookings.Our Insurance Company (Australian Seniors) were excellent to deal with , however the Contractor recommended by their broker was incompetent to say the least and could not even produce a legally binding contract in any form that I was prepared to enter into. After some further failed negotiations I was recommended CGR Roofing as a go to Contractor. They responded to my call the very next day, followed up with a firm and acceptable quotation within days and negotiated a contract and timetable to work in with their commitments as well as ours. The materials arrived as promised as did their workmen . The roofs were completed on time ,within budget and the site was left in a clean and tidy state. We were extremely satisfied with the workmanship and I trust they were satisfied with the expedient payment of their account. The one small problem we had was dealt with immediately ( After we had paid the account I might add ) In conclusion , having heard of many unsatisfactory dealings around Merewether, I feel lucky that CGR were referred to us and recommend them as both professional and committed to providing service in their Industry.
